About this policy
Alpha Crawler provides website crawling, technical audit reports and optional connected services at alphacrawler.org. For privacy questions and requests, contact support@alphacrawler.org. This policy describes the information used by these features.
Information we process
When you create an account, we process your account identifier, email address, available profile name and image, and account activity needed to maintain your account. We process submitted website addresses, crawl settings, response and page information, technical findings, scores and saved reports. Public website content and URLs can contain personal information; submit only information you are authorised to process. Support enquiries contain the information you send us. Hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request times and diagnostic logs.
Guests and saved accounts
Guests can crawl without creating an account. Guest crawl reports are processed to provide the current report and are not saved to an account history. Signed-in users can save their sites, settings, schedules, summary history and detailed reports. Daily and weekly history stores summary findings; monthly archives can contain page-level reports. Operational processing and security logs can still occur for guest requests.
Google connections
If you choose Connect Google, we request read-only access to the Search Console and Analytics properties you are authorised to use. We retrieve property lists and requested reporting metrics to display alongside your audit. Google sign-in provides account identity separately. Access credentials are used for the current connection; saved reports can retain the metrics and collection dates included when you save them. Disconnecting does not automatically delete earlier saved reports. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, credit decisions or general-purpose AI model training. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Optional AI services
You choose whether to connect an AI provider and request a summary. The integrated summary sends aggregate technical findings and scores, excluding page URLs, page content, account details and Google reporting data. Follow-up chat sends the summary and the messages you type. Your API key stays in tab memory, passes through our server to your chosen provider for each request and is not stored in your account. The provider processes requests under its own terms and privacy policy. The copy-brief option leaves you in control of where you paste the brief. Separate MCP connections share only the report snapshots you explicitly publish and authorise; these snapshots may contain URLs and included Google metrics. Review the consent screen before sharing.
Looker Studio
Creating a score connection authorises read-only access to your account’s latest saved website scores, website identifiers, crawl dates and coverage labels. It does not expose issue details, page URLs or Google reporting metrics. The server saves a verification hash of the connection key. The connector stores the key in your Google Apps Script user properties when you authorise it. You can replace or revoke the key in Alpha Crawler. Revocation stops future access with that key but does not delete reports, exports or cached data already held by Google or another authorised recipient.
Service providers and sharing
Service providers supporting hosting, account authentication, data storage and optional integrations process information needed to deliver those services. We share information with the AI provider or external app you choose only as described for that feature. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect the service and investigate abuse. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. We do not sell personal information.
Storage, retention and security
Saved account information and reports remain available while retained in your account or until deletion is requested, subject to legal, security and recovery needs. Essential browser storage supports sign-in, session connections and interface preferences. We use access controls and encrypted connections where supported; no system can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit private keys, passwords or sensitive student records in URLs, reports or chat messages.
Your choices and requests
You can use the crawler as a guest, decline optional connections, disconnect Google, revoke MCP access and revoke or replace a Looker key. To request access, correction, an export or deletion of your account and retained reports, contact support@alphacrawler.org from your account email. We may verify ownership before acting. Depending on your location, you may have further rights to restrict processing, object, withdraw consent or complain to your local data protection authority. Revoking Google access does not by itself delete data previously saved in Alpha Crawler.
Audience and changes
Alpha Crawler is intended for website owners and professional users, not for collecting children’s personal information. We update this policy when features or practices change and identify its effective date. Where required, we seek renewed consent before using connected data for a new purpose.
